IPCSR is hiring!
The Institute for Social Research, at the University of Michigan, seeks to recruit and retain a diverse workforce as a reflection of our commitment to serve the diverse people of Michigan, to maintain the excellence of the university, and to ground our research in varied disciplines, perspectives, and ways of knowing and learning.
The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), the world’s largest archive of digital social science data, is now accepting applications for a Data Project Manager to plan, monitor, and oversee the day-to-day management of several data acquisition and archiving projects. ICPSR’s data are the foundation for thousands of research articles, reports, and books. Findings from these data are put to use by scholars, policy analysts, policy makers, the media, and the public. Through our data projects we make hundreds of fully documented datasets available for preservation, access, download, and analysis; provide training on effectively using the datasets; and work with funding agencies and data producers to ensure that data of value to the community are made available.
